There isn’t a better combination than a little girl and her dog.  Kyah treats Frenchy like her own baby.  In fact, she loves saying “Daddy’s the boss of you and you’re the boss of me. I’m the boss of Frenchy.  Frenchy is the boss of the baby.  The baby is the boss of the iguanas and the iguanas are the boss of the cockroaches.”  Don’t ask.  We live in Costa Rica and cockroaches here have nothing to do with a filthy house.  They are the size of Twinkies and live wherever they chose.

I had a dog growing up that I adored. I still adore her.  Princess was so special to me that she was in our wedding.  Big daddy couldn’t object because he knew how important she was to me.  I love that Ky now has a little companion to share her childhood with.   Frenchy is our french poodle who we were told was a toy, but ended up being a teacup.  Kyah loves toting around, dressing up, and mothering her little 3 lb. baby.  They make me smile.

How do the flowers grow?

Each and every single day, without fail, I get a handful of freshly picked flowers. Each and every single day, without fail, I oooh and aaaah and give lots of kisses for the beautiful flowers I have been given. We have bushes surrounding our entire house that grow these magnificent red flowers.   I like to think my reaction and sweet kisses are the sole motivation for these special deliveries.

We are just entering rainy season and Kyah is pretty excited to be able to wear her rain jacket and rain boots again. They still fit thank goodness!  The other day she dolled herself up, got out her magnifying glass, and then headed outside to find out how the flowers grow.  At least that’s what she told me she was going to do.  I went out with my camera and my little Ramona was splishing and splashing.  When she saw me, she instantly began her investigating.  Yet another stage in her life that I just adore.
