Missionary Mommy

We moved a month or so ago to a different house that is much closer to where we are doing ministry.  We feel so fortunate to have found this place.  It is about 3 times the size of our last house and the cost is the same.  There is ample space for teams to eat and unwind here and we have some sweet cabinas right across the street.  My mom is pretty stoked on having an air conditioner in the extra room, too!  She’ll be joining us for our new arrival in just a few short months!

In Esterillos we constantly had little Halloween crabs and mini-lizards everywhere.  The lizards were cute until we realized they left poop lying around that looked like a rat had been visiting.  Just disgusting.   Where we live now backs up to a palm plantation.  Our daily visitors include cows and stray dogs and most recently, this guy.

This pic is after he was trapped with books, chairs, and anything else I could think of until Big Daddy could get him outside.  I think he was in jail for at least 12 hours.  That should teach him!

Apparently, he came in through the back door.  His long toenails on the tile floor about did me in.  If something is going to cause me to have a heart attack, this is it.  I cannot handle it!  Does anyone know of something to keep these nasty creatures far, far away?  If I were Tica, I would have skewered him and had a little fiesta.  Lucky for him, I’m not.

Thank God I live with my very own Tarzan.  Hopefully, this is a one time event.
